The Peer Support Program is a designed to have trained co-workers who are able to identify various symptoms, challenges, and aid their fellow colleagues by providing support.
Through listening, understanding, and providing appropriate referrals, the Peer Support Program can serve as an early-warning detection system to help individuals handle their personal problems.
The goal of a peer supporter is to provide 1:1 crisis intervention, group debriefing, support and referral to professional services, such as PAR, as needed. This is a perfect opportunity to utilize your skills and support colleagues when a crisis arises.
